Men's Ministry

The purpose of Men's Ministry is to serve men in their spiritual journey by providing pathways which lead them to inner peace through knowing Christ as their personal Savior, including

  • a commitment to spiritual growth through steadfast prayer and worship from the heart
  • study and obedience to God's Word
  • fellowship and camaraderie with other Christian men
  • a strong desire to help others through selfless service
  • a lasting joy in committed relationships with family and friends

Outreach Events - Men need opportunities to get to know each other outside the context of church. We can invite our neighbors, dads, brothers, and sons, as well as other men in our church. By getting to know more about each other, our interests, and our hobbies, we become better acquainted and develop a basis for friendship. Special events are times when we can be ourselves and have fun. An example of these events might include breakfasts, sporting events, work days, etc.

Equipping Seminars - These types of seminars offer men the opportunity to invest in their personal growth and leadership skills. This in turn can lead to a stronger church, stronger families, and will glorify God when men use the spiritual gifts with which they have been blessed. The seminars touch on a variety of topics such as marriage and fathering, representing Christ in the workplace, reaching out to the community, and discipling and mentoring others.

Large Groups and Retreats-These men's gatherings are focused on discipling men. They include a yearly retreat and weekly gatherings such as Men's Fraternity which includes teaching, fellowship, and prayer. The information in these gatherings challenges men to exhibit Christ-like actions in their relationships and provides greater opportunities to interact on the level of who a man is rather than what a man does.
