MAF is directly helping with communication and logistics support. Their hangar at the airport in Port au Prince is being used as a staging point for supplies and they are flying relief workers and medical teams in and out of the devastated remote areas.

Fran Shaw knows the founders and directors; they run a Christian orphanage in the NW part of Haiti that was undamaged. Though not involved in the immediate relief efforts, they already have plans in place to be involved in recovery. Through their many long term partnerships there, they will be able to empower many nationals to significantly help their people through the recovery process. They will also send mission teams when the recovery process begins. Haiti relief funds will be designated for recovery and rebuilding. See their website for more specific information.
