"And now why do you wait? Rise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on his name." Acts 22:16

What is Baptism?
When people who know and follow Jesus are baptized, they fulfill the command of Jesus (Matthew 28:19–20) and are submerged in water to identify with the death of Jesus and rise out of the water to identify with his resurrection (Romans 6:1-10; Colossians 2:22).
This identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection through baptism testifies to the fact that we believe in faith that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, rose three days later, and now is alive and Lord over all of creation.
Who Should be Baptized?
If you’ve placed your faith and trust in Jesus, we encourage you to follow Jesus’ command to be baptized as a public declaration of your faith in Him.
If you haven’t made a commitment to Jesus, you can learn more about Him by clicking here. Once you know and follow Jesus, we then invite you to be baptized to make a public confession of your faith.
How can I be Baptized at West E. Free Church?
Email our office letting us know of your interest in being baptized. We will set a date of a Sunday morning service and work with you to make sure you know all of the details. Download this booklet and work through it, and then bring it with you as you meet with a pastor before your baptism (our office will set this meeting up with you). We look forward to celebrating your faith and trust in our God and Savior!
