Dave Ruckel

Dave and his wife, Geary Beth, came to WEFC in 2010. For the previous nine years he had been a Children's Pastor in an E. Free church in Louisiana and a Bible Baptist church Missouri. Dave received his Bachelor's degree in Youth Ministries with a Bible minor in 1999 from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri.

Dave and Geary Beth have two children, son-Chris (in Louisiana) and daughter-Nathasha (in Kansas City). Dave likes to hunt, bicycle, fix "things" and build "stuff." He loves Third Day music, jazz, and anything his son is playing in!

After coming to know Christ, Dave began working with Awana Sparks children who kept repeating their key verse, John 3:16 to him. He came to realize how it was the gospel in a sentence, so it is the first verse he ever memorized. "I figured if I learned just one verse, it better be one that I can share my faith with. So John 3:16 is it for me!"

We know Dave loves working with children, but did you know he has a phobia of crowds? We're thankful that doesn't keep him from ministry here at WEFC!
