Greg Smith

Greg is originally from Wichita and spent over a decade serving in churches in Illinois and Wisconsin before he came home to Wichita and to West E. Free in 2006. He received his degree in Religious Education from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Greg is passionate about people connecting with each other and loves the friendliness, passion and desire to reach others he sees at WEFC.  He believes firmly to his core that "ministry happens in the context of relationships."  He is committed to helping people grow in their walk with Christ.

Greg recommends some of his favorite reads: Spiritual Leadership by Sanders, Disciplines of a Godly Man by Hughes, Humility by Murray and How Good is good Enough by Stanley.

In his free time he enjoys life with his family and various hobbies such as playing drums, cooking, playing strategy games, dabbling in graphic design and most recently hunting (so far the animals are more or less safe).  His wife, Stephanie of 16 years, spends her free time scrapbooking and teaching kids in the community and at church. They love spending time with their children Hailey and Keegan.  The Smith family loves Wichita and are grateful to be at West Free.
